There sure all lots of animal fans out here!  I love it!  I have a feeling my daughter is going to be the kind of person to rescue animals too--she just can't get enough of them.  Loves them!

We have an 11 year old Siberian Husky, Kaira (chai-ra) and I wrote a long post about her on her b-day.  http://bunslife.blogspot.com/2008/01/ode-to-pita.html

We also have a 9 year old Golden Retriever.  There are pics of them up on my site.  They were our first babies and really have not dropped too much in status since we have had children.  Cheesy

we have a 1yr old english mastiff named sam who is such a love bug. He's very protective of us and even herds the younger boys back in our yard if they start to wander into the neighbors yard.

We also have two cats a mommy and son and our mommy kitty just had 8 more kittens. YIKES! Don't worry she has an apppointment all scheduled for spaying in a few weeks.

That's my baby boy doggie Charlie (and my human son).  He's a german shepherd/irish wolfhound mix and he's the sweetest dog ever!
We had his sister too (she looked more like a shepherd) but she mysteriously disappeared (and Charlie came home that day w/ gashes on his front legs) so we think a bobcat got her. Sad  We are way out in the boonies and are backed up to 40 acres of BLM, but Charlie's the smart one and almost always stays near the house.

We live on a farm and have lots of animals around!  I have 3 miniature horses, 1 Andalusian Stud colt, 3 big dogs (1 German Shepherd, 1 pound puppy, and 1 miniature Australian Shepherd), 1 little dog, and 15 chickens.  It's pretty busy around here, but we wouldn't have it any other way!

Below is a picture of our little dog, he is a Shorkie named Angus.  In this photo he is only 6 weeks old

Next is our German Shepherd, Sophie, she is expecting puppies in July!

Here is a fun picture of my Miniature Horse stallion, Dane.  My boys love going for cart rides!

Don't want to clog up the post with more photos.  You can see all my horses at my website

We have two cockatiels named Bob and Tom (when they were given to us they were named Thelma and Louise ooops!) They are very smart but also pretty pesky. My son buddy is the one who usually feeds them so as soon as he walks in the door from school every afternoon they start making their presence (and empty tummy's) known by repeatedly yelling very loudly "Pretty Bird" until he feeds them. Their cage door is never shut and they sit on top of the cage more often than they do in the cage. They usually take flight around the house once or twice a day - I used to "rescue" them but I've finally given up on that. I tell them that if they managed to fly into the kitchen that they can fly back to their cage.

I've got 2 female cats, Abby and Isis, and a male Papillon dog, Randolph.  They have a reluctant truce amongst one another -- mostly!
