Not sure what the post was about, Em, but from the sound of it you are trying counseling.  Been there done that...went alone as hubby didn't think we had problems.  That was over 20 years ago...I learned to live my own life with the four small children.  I couldn't afford to leave him, no way to support the kids, I thought. 

I always remember what my one counselor said about staying or leaving....only you can answer that question.  I chose to stay and it did get better over time. 

Now we are retired, the kids have all moved out, and I sometimes wonder why I stay.  Only I have learned to fight back, and not take the crap.  Sometimes it is not a happy household.  But 95% of the time it is.
