Is there a gadget/widget/whatever out there for blogspot that will enable reader to subscribe via an email address?  People like my mother, do not have google, or any of the other standard subscription offers that blogspot offers through their "Subscribe to" gadget.  I have been able to subscribe via email to some other blogs, but don't know how to enable this on mine.  I think this would be a fantastic tool for my family to be updated on when I have new posts!

Thanks,
Dorsey

That would be a nice idea if my mother were that internet/email savvy.  Sadly, she is not.  I was wanted something so that she and the other members of the family could just receive newsletters or similar updates into their already established external email addresses.

I use wordpress so I'm not sure about the blogger aspect, but Feedburner is the one that I use.

I just came across this site and if you put their ad up, it appears to be free.  I apologize that I haven't looked into it greatly, but I have subscribed to people's blogs and gotten a weekly update in my email before.

Here is the site: http://www.feedblitz.com/

I do Feedburner, too, and I have it up on my blog, if you want to check it out.

Thanks for all the advice!  I am using Feedburner now and LOVE it!  Now if I could just figure out how to manage it and see who my subscribers are.  hehe  Ah well, I'm sure I'll play around with it more and figure it out.
