If you are on Twitter, how do you use it to advertise your blog?  Do you just tweet your latest post link?  Do you find it helps?

I love twitter. I have made some remarkable friends this past year. I did join primarily to promote my blog but now promoting my blog has become secondary to the incredible friendships. If you would like me to write about how to be more successful on twitter, just let me know and I will fill your head with all kinds of foolishness. I meant tips, twitter tips.

I'm momsnetwork but am more active on Facebook.  Tried using a program to integrate the two - but then people were getting double postings

I found that twitter is really helpful when I was promoting contests or giveaways on my old blog Leslie's Life. It hasn't really helped me on my design blog so I mainly use Facebook.

Along the twitter topic, yesterday I went to the Milwaukee Zoo (Wisconsin) with two women that I had met via twitter and their families. It was the first time our husbands met. The women and our children have all gotten together before.

Of course we had a lot of fun, there were six adults and eight children, but the thing that surprised my husband the most was how "normal" my twitter friends were.  He actually enjoyed their families and spouses more than some of the friends we had met in more "conventional" settings.
