That's great SarahJewel. I wanted to get a few chickens for eggs. But my HOA says it's a no go. And my husband wasn't too keen on the idea either.
I'm not giving up though  Grin
I want some chickens, too.  My neighbor has a couple, so I know it's OK.  My husband isn't thrilled though.

2 things--I'm probably the only one not to have seen 'An Inconvenient Truth."  Is that the movie Al Gore did? I thought I saw something about that on Oprah.

What happens if the CFL lightbulbs break?  What do you mean SarahJewel, doomed?Huh??  SOo soo curious.  I haven't bought any because of money so far.

Your welcome Jo Ann--I meant it.

I'm really starting to research the green options that make sense for families with small children. It is overwhelming.

We've recycled for a couple of years and we use gDiapers. I started a blog where I post my research, and at the end of each month, I report on what changes we've made.

I did a post with a lot of information about CFL bulbs, including limiting mercury exposure if they break, and how they save money over the long run because they last longer and they use so much less energy:

We planted a very small garden this year, and I'm starting to research composting. Any one know of great how-to sites or books for composting?

I need help with composting as well. I put it all in a bucket and forgot about it. Now it's just super dried out.  oops
