That's what I use amazon for mostly. When I'm reviewing a book, cd, product that amazon sales, I figure it doesn't hurt to include the affiliate link. I know that most of my readers are not coming to my blog to shop, but you never know.

Jane, I try to do the same thing.  I have a few things that I could only get through amazon at a great price so I included the links.  If there are other things that are there and not necessarily the lowest price for my readers, then I'll throw in other options to make a cheaper way if they want to go that route.  I, myself, have lots of amazon gift cards from surveys so shopping there is most economical for me since it's FREE even if I could save a few bucks at another store!!

Why don't you link-up with http://www.squidoo.com -- they have eBay, Amazon, etc built-into their system - all of which can earn you money. It's HUGE at the moment! So it's a case of driving your blog traffic from your blog to your squidoo lens on the topic. You can build any number of lenses. Gives you a lot of leverage!

Hi - I just wanted to add that during August BlogHer had everyone remove their previous codes and insert new codes.  With the new codes came the ability to run a BlogHer ad in each of your side colums.  With BlogHer you can pick what topics you don't want advertised.  I am not going to mention what I stayed away from, but if you want to know more on that topic you can reach me privately.

I think Blogher is still closed to new publishers Sad I've been trying forever to advertise for them!

Me too, Laura!

They have a waiting list though, and you can add your email and url there to be notified when they reopen.
