Has anyone used scratch back? http://www.scratchback.com/

I just got it. It puts a widget on your site that allows people to "tip" you for a link to their blog in your "Top Spots". I have no clue how it will work yet. I found it on another blog and I actually paid like $3.00 to have my blog on her topspots. It stayed on for like 2 weeks and I got several hits from it. It was definitely worth my $3.00.

Anyway, I have one on my blog if anyone wants to see it. I just put it up so I don't have any advertisers yet, but you can get the idea.

Scratchback is a great idea I think. I have one, but took it down. I might put it back up and give it a go.

Yeah, I think it is a good idea. Some people might be reluctant, especially if they are already on your blogroll, but it is so much more easily visible- right there in print. Not everyone will take the time to go through your blogroll unfortunately. Especially if, like on my blog, you have to click a link to get to it. But the TopSpots widget is right there on the front page.
I figure it is super cheap blog advertising.
Anyway, I put it on there. We'll see how it goes.

I think I've seen it on a couple of people's blogs.

Something for me to add in the future to mine. Smiley
Let us know how you get on with it...

I put it up. I think that people are reluctant to be the first one. I was the first brave soul to buy a spot on a friend's blog, and like a weel later, all her spots were filling up and spilling over. It just takes one person to cough up the first tip. LOL

I thought that might be the case. I was going to buy my own top spot.

So, how can we use scratch back here to help each other?  Is it expensive?

You set your own rate for ad space. They recommend a $5.00 per spot minimum. I've seen $2.00 spots and $20.00 spots. I am not sure how we could help each other out, other than buying up each others spots and hoping others will follow suit.
The way I see it, the more blogs your link is visible on the better.

LOL! How about you buy one of mine and I'll buy one of yours. It doesn't seem quite as desperate. LOL

If anyone is interested, here is the link to get into my "top spots"

http://www.scratchback.com/buy.php?uuid=ef57eb16-0e86-78b4-7da9-c8e90cf1ae07

Let me know if anyone here signs up for scratchback. I'd like to get on a few top spots lists myself.

Anyone doing this yet? I have had a few people put up links. I've put up a few on other blogs. It's actually a great way to advertise your blog for a miniscule amount of money.

It's not too late to get in on my topspots. Cheap adveritising at it's finest. Smiley
