No but when my husband and I have date nights I do have a martini.  It is only than and no other time.  Never around my son.  Not that I feel guilty or anything I just don't want to when we are out as a family.

I'm a light weight too. I enjoy wine though. I have't had any in a long time because I'm breast feeding so holding off still. After the kids go to bed, my husband and I will sit on the porch with a glass of wine and talk. I love those nights!

Umm, did I miss something?? I don't think there's anything wrong with a glass of wine....provided your over the legal age, you're not pregnant and it's not before noon.   I do have a glass of wine in front of my children, I don't think there's anything wrong with that either.  Having been brought up in a non-drinking household I didn't understand what 'resposible and reasonable' alcohol consumption was.  I don't drink in the afternoon, nor to I get "drunk" (well maybe once a year or something but NEVER EVER in front of my kids), I just enjoy the odd adult beverage now and again....and if it makes your evening "more enjoyable" then why not, you're a grown up.

People are silly. Don't worry about what they say. There will always be someone who tells you what you SHOULD think, SHOULD do, SHOULD wear or whatever... opinions are what they are.

I had a doctor tell me that wine in moderation helps the heart.  The key here is moderation.  You don't want to drown in the tub!

There is nothing wrong with having a glass of wine in the tub or any other time as long as you do it in moderation, like anything else.

I never understood the taboo's associated with wine.  It has been around for centuries, and in some countries a watered down version is given to children with their meals.

Next weekend I am going on a wine holiday.  Exploring the wineries of Northern Michigan.  The doctor told me to drink it....in moderation.

I've enjoyed a cocktail from time to time, and we've educated our children on the maturity of drinking.  I've had drinks in front of them, and they're really non-plused by it.  They know about over-drinking and recognize that we are NOT doing so.  Its all about moderation around here.  My husband and I maybe have 2-3 cocktails a week.

I think so long as you're showing responsibility in your drinking, then I've never had an issue with it. JMO
